Our Newest Little Guy

We are anxiously awaiting word that we can take Bo home. John and I aren't good hospital 'stayers'. We'd rather be home. Drew and Jack visited last night and had dinner with us. We miss them a LOT.

I've added a shot of the boys meeting their new baby brother. We look forward to talking/seeing everyone!! Keep us in your thoughts as we prepare for life once again with a newborn!

Bo has arrived!

Robert Walter Burke (Bo) showed up this morning at 11:35. Labor and delivery were a breeze and we are all very happy. Drew and Jack were VERY excited to meet baby brother. After 3 quick pushes, he arrived - all 8.5lbs. of him. He's 20.5" long. We are all still debating whether his hair is really as light and curly as it seems (we're keeping the hat on for now). He's been sleeping all day and look forward to getting to know our newest better...

We'll keep you all posted :) THANKS for all the thoughts and prayers - we really still need them!

The Final Countdown

Just an update on Bo's impending arrival... We are scheduled for induction Thursday, June 21st. If all goes as my doctor believes it will, Bo Burke should be here by lunch. We are planning to bring our laptop to update as quickly as we can, but we aren't sure where the wireless will be and to what availability.

In other news - our adorable boys are home with Grandpa today. They LOVE it when he babysits! Jack woke up and announced that he got a boo boo while getting the 'mellow'. What this translates to is that in his attempt to get the bunny he made at EASTER (!) with a marshmallow nose down, he bumped his leg. He was successful in his attempt though - he did manage to eat the 3-month-old marshmallow. I guess it's kind of like eating a Lucky Charms marshmallow - no?

My Boys

Well, this week has been long... I keep thinking today is Thursday. I go to the doctor this afternoon to see what Baby Bo is up to. I can't decide what I want: if I have 'progressed' at all, then I might not have to be induced, but on the other hand, if I haven't 'progressed', I have some more time and won't worry so much about the work to still be done.

Oh well... We have to wash the carseat pad and the bassinet bedding and we'll be ready. Jack has resorted to carrying his stuffed puppy around, calling it Baby Bo and rocking it. At least he's not throwing it on the floor or anything. Jack also caught his first fish at the lake this weekend. Drew has yet to catch one (and daddy did really help Jack), so we haven't made a huge deal about it, but I thought I could brag here... We'll keep you posted on things!!

Ready to Roll

Kudos to the Burkes!! We got Bo's room done, cleaned out our 'toy store' (AKA the playroom) and cleaned out the basement. Did it stop there? NOPE! The pantry and fridge are clean - as well as the cars! Nesting?? You bet. We are very excited!

The boys are looking forward to the baby's arrival. I did decide that Jack cannot hold Bo. Aunt Katie taught him 'Rock a Bye Baby' - thanks Katie... It's now a game for him to hold a stuffed animal and then drop it when the 'bough breaks'. No baby-holding for him! Anyway - I'll keep everyone posted on baby news - as soon as we know something!

Cousins on a Bench

Just a cute shot of Drew, Jack and cousins Henry and Becca!

Drew's Graduation

This is Drew receiving his 'diploma' from preschool (4-K). I can't believe he'll be going to kindergarten next year! He told me he doesn't want to turn five, because he loved his school so much. Oh well... Eventually he'll dislike school, so I am loving this age!

His graduation was more of an "Art Show" showcasing all the things they've made and learned over the year. I am just going to add some more pictures - please feel free to comment if you have any questions...
