The woes of the economy and Auburn football

Happy fall! Except with the lull in the economy and the non-winning of the Auburn football team, it hasn't been that exciting... The kids are well though and things are moving along.

We finally weaned Bo from his bottle (he was still getting one before bed). I think it was more for me than him. I loved that time at night when he snuggles in and takes the bottle. But I know it's time - and I don't want to end up with thousands toward braces...

Drew had a great day last Friday when his class took a field trip to the pumpkin patch. He got to go through a hay maze that was very exciting. Jack had a community helper come to school today - firemen and their truck. VERY exciting.

We thought we were going to lose the only dog we have left this weekend. John took the older boys camping - Bo and I stayed home. Bud kept leaning his head over and then couldn't stand. Anything he drank came right back up. We prepared the kids for 'Bud going to heaven' and then John took him to the vet. Turns out he has geriatric vestibular syndrome (an inner ear problem). It's so bad that the room is constantly spinning and that's why he can't walk. He is getting progressively better though and should bounce back well. Considering he is 14 - that's pretty good.
