We have the opportunity to subscribe to a magazine.
Let me rephrase. Basically, instead of buying one more candle, gift bag assortment or more wrapping paper, I chose the magazine subscription to support a student we know.
Anyway - I am running a poll to see what magazine we should choose - we're somewhat indecisive. The poll is to the right. Browse and choose if you have an opinion. I am leaning toward Time. We should read things to make us smarter - no?

The Pumpkin Patch

Fall is absolutely my favorite season. Costumes, comfort foods and the buildup to Christmas can't be beat in my opinion.
On the homefront, we have decked out our home in Halloween garb. Jack-o-lanterns, ghosts and spooky things galore. I even found the greatest paper lanterns for $1 each. Wow. The kids decorated cats, bats and pumpkins for a garland we drape on the bannister two years ago. I love putting it up. Here are some snapshots from the pumpkin patch...
Don't be fooled. This hay stack was quite tall - I'd say a good 20-30 feet (but you may know I'm not the mathematician in the family!).
The kids had a blast - but you can see how hot they got - good grief it was hot!
Jack picked a rogue white pumpkin - I can't say much though... I found one myself for my 'harvest centerpiece display'... Really - I tend to overdo...
Bo had a grand time!

Silly me...
Yep - I posted the same picture of Bo in the last two posts... Well, it's cute... Here's another...
War Eagle
Being Auburn grads, John and I love football season. John took the boys to the Miss. State game (not the best game) and the kids had a blast. We'll be in Auburn for homecoming if anyone is going... Bo even gets in the spirit on Saturday...
The kids are loving fall. We went to the Pumpkin Patch this past Sunday. Talk about a hoot. It was great, aside from being 150 degrees! What is up with the weather? We are ready for cooler weather here. The kids picked their pumpkins, jumped in a trailer full of cotton, climbed a huge stack of hay and we all went on a long hayride. We went to the Old Baker Farm in Harpersville for any moms and dads in central Alabama looking for a fun trip...
Here is a flash back - Halloween in years past... (2005 to be exact)

Birthdays, school starting, etc...
We've been busy! Drew started kindergarten. Jack and Bo are at Mom's Day Out and I'm back at work. We celebrated Drew's 5th birthday (August 13) and Jack's 3rd birthday (9/22). Drew had a Batman party and Jack (as you can see by the costume) had a Diego party. We had a great time! Bo is growing so fast - he's practically in a 6-9 mos. clothing size! He sleeps well and eats well. Overall, he's a great baby!!!

Drew started fall ball - he's playing t-ball and loves it - this is him rounding third and heading for home. Speaking of baseball - the cubbies are holding on to their lead - looks like we may make the playoffs - GO CUBS GO!!!

Bo's Baptism
Bo was baptized Sunday at Mass. John's sister, Elaine, and our good friend, Mark, were the Godparents. It was a wonderful day. We are very blessed to be surrounded by wonderful children, supportive family and caring friends.
Here is a snapshot of our boys.
Bo is sleeping better - in his crib now too! He usually wakes at 2:30 and 5:30. Drew starts Kindergarten next week - I cannot believe it! He is having a Batman birthday party this Saturday. Jack is just his terrificly-energized self (I know that's probably not a word). He has the most curious, driven mind. We are working on NOT throwing toys over the upstairs balcony. Potty-training has come to a complete stop. We try daily, but he will have none of it.
I hope all is well with everyone!!

I know... I know...
But you try blogging when you have a three kids! Speaking of one, who is starting to wake up (now that mommy's found a minute to update the family blog). I know you are most likely not here to hear from me, so here are some new pictures. All the boys are good. Bo is sleeping for one four-hour stretch at night (then it's up every two hours). For nursing though, I am happy we are getting that much sleep at this point. The big boys love their little brother (sometimes too much) :)
