The Pumpkin Patch

Ahhh... Fall in the South... Ahhh... the cool, dry air - WHAT? Wait! It still feels like summer! We had a nice 90 degree day in the Pumpkin Patch this weekend. That's right - a good 90 degrees coupled with 90% humidity. You just have to love life in the South.

Fall is absolutely my favorite season. Costumes, comfort foods and the buildup to Christmas can't be beat in my opinion.

On the homefront, we have decked out our home in Halloween garb. Jack-o-lanterns, ghosts and spooky things galore. I even found the greatest paper lanterns for $1 each. Wow. The kids decorated cats, bats and pumpkins for a garland we drape on the bannister two years ago. I love putting it up. Here are some snapshots from the pumpkin patch...

Don't be fooled. This hay stack was quite tall - I'd say a good 20-30 feet (but you may know I'm not the mathematician in the family!).

The kids had a blast - but you can see how hot they got - good grief it was hot!

Jack picked a rogue white pumpkin - I can't say much though... I found one myself for my 'harvest centerpiece display'... Really - I tend to overdo...

Bo had a grand time!
