Be a Tigger

I am sure you have all heard of the recent publicity surrounding Randy Pausch and his book titled 'Last Lecture'. There's a coordinating website at TheLastLecture.Com . He's an amazing man who faces death from cancer and chooses to be a 'Tigger' rather than an 'Eeyore'. Now, I happen to be quite the Pooh aficionado - considering how many times I've seen their movies, read their stories and sung their songs. I will choose to be a Tigger. Look at things positively. Choose to be happy.

Why not?

I have a wonderful life and three great boys. Speaking of whom - Bo is having tubes put in next Friday. I am using this positive-ness in my discipline with Jack as well. It's tempting to raise my voice and pull him from whatever he's doing 'wrong' and correct him. Beginning yesterday, I call him to come over and speak to him at his level. The response from him was mixed. Just getting him to look at me was tricky. He's going to be a handful when he hits middle school. He is so strong-willed. To me, that just means he'll be a strong man someday.
