The Garden

I have to report on my garden at the house. John built out a great area in our yard for a garden for me. The boys helped me 'sow' seeds about a month ago. We planted squash, watermelon, pumpkins and tomatoes. Once the seeds sprouted and grew, we transplanted them into the big garden.

I didn't think they would survive the transplant. But wow! They did. I have a bunch of blooms this week and little squash are growing!! The tomatoes aren't doing as well, they are in the back corner that gets a little too much shade in the afternoon. I did put a basil plant in and a mix of chive, basil and parsley seeds last week as well. They are coming up well.

I will post pictures soon of our garden. The boys are tickled to see something they helped with coming up so well.
